Limited Scope Services

Some lawyers with profiles on mnfindalawyer.com offer "Limited Scope Services."  Limited Scope Services is an alternative to providing traditional legal services. Attorneys who provide limited scope representation may offer only basic advice, or they may assist with strategy, document preparation, and even appearing in court but only for a limited and defined purpose.  To find lawyers who offer Limited Scope Services, choose that category on the main search page and contact the lawyer about how he or she handles and charges for such services.

All Minnesota Lawyers

mnfindalawyer.com is a voluntary service for members of the Minnesota State Bar Association. It does not provide a listing of all lawyers who practice law in Minnesota. The Minnesota state court system does maintain a searchable database of all lawyers licensed to practice in the state. Use the state court system to determine if a person is licensed to practice law in Minnesota.

Other Minnesota Lawyer Referral Programs

ADR Section. The MSBA's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section operates a online referral system with profiles of ADR professionals. Search by category at SelectADR.com to find arbitrators, mediators, and qualified neutrals. All panelists are members of the ADR Section.

Hennepin County Bar Association. The Hennepin County Bar Association operates a state-wide system that accepts phone calls and email requests from the public for lawyer referrals. There is a charge for the service. Call (612) 752-6666 for more information.

Ramsey County Bar Association. The Ramsey County Bar Association operates a phone-based lawyer referral system that matches potential clients with lawyers who practice in Ramsey County. There is a charge for the service. Call (651) 224-1775 for more information.
